There we were in bed finishing up a movie thinking about going to sleep. It was only 10:30, but in our defense we did go out for dinner last night. Anyway, we heard a loud whirring noise outside that we assumed was a helicopter. However, after about 5 minutes curiosity got the better of me and I looked out the window. At first glance, I reported to Joe that it was only a diesel school bus and it looked like some kids were being dropped off (although this would be strange at 10:30 on Sat. night, maybe a sport event???). But wait, this school bus had black lights on the inside of it and looked pretty souped up. Oh, and the "kids" standing outside the bus, they were smoking and holding beers. Hmmm. At this point I also noticed the loud music pouring out of the bus and could just barely see the shadows of people dancing inside. I crawled back into bed as Joe hopped out to see this for himself. He was wearing his glasses, and that's when we discovered the huge sign on the bus "The Keg Bus". Yeah, this was definitely not a Fairfax County Public School Bus.
As time went on, the music got louder, the people outside got louder until it was an all-out noise disturbance. Not to mention that it made me nervous about the company we are keeping in our complex (now that I am a mother and all). To show you how old we truly are now, Joe headed downstairs to call the company of the bus to complain (nicer than calling the police, he thought), but thankfully it pulled away about that time.
